Sell-out performance of Blue Cypress products at Sydney 2000 Olympic Games

Following the sell-out performance of the range of Australian Blue Cypress oil based products manufactured by Jurlique, known as 'The Essence of Sydney 2000', the Australian Blue Cypress Oil company has confirmed its reputation as a leading edge producer of native Australian essential oils.

Olympic athletes and members of the international media were delighted to experience the Blue Cypress Oil-based products in massages and bodywork treatments at the Jurlique Body Care centres in the Athletes' Village and Media Centre every day throughout the games.


"People who experienced the Blue Cypress-based Jurlique products during the Olympic Games agreed that the smell seemed to capture the clean, healthy quality of the Australian lifestyle, based as it is on the outdoors and sports, as well as Australia's unique, 'clean and green' natural environment", said Judith McGilvray, Marketing Manager for The Australian Essential Oil Company.

'The Essence of Sydney 2000' range of products, endorsed by the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG), is naturally formulated without artificial colours and fragrances, contains no pollutants or toxins to harm the skin, body and environment.
Jurlique International, Australia's largest cosmetics and natural products company, had the contract with SOCOG to supply a range of products called 'The Essence of Sydney 2000', and Jurlique has a contract with us to supply the oil for those products", Judith added.
